Please come to your appointment with clean, tangle free and product free hair. This will make it easier for us to be able to use the nit comb and identify if any live lice activity is present. 

Head lice are becoming resistant to the chemicals in the Over The Counter products. And the OTC products do not target nits(eggs). OTC treatments would require multiple treatments and multiple comb outs. Our services are like no other! We use 100% all natural products that kill head lice with success in ONE fast treatment. 

Super lice is a term that is now being used to refer to the head lice that have become resistant to the chemicals in the over the counter products. Over the past few years, as lice evolve and adapt to these products, the over the counter products have less success killing and eliminating lice or "super" lice.

When lice is found, people often panic, run right out to the store and get over the counter head lice products. These products are ineffective, as they do  kill all lice and nits. These products also make it harder for us to do our job, as they leave a residue behind on the hair. If you use the over the counter products before you come to us, be sure to wash the hair thoroughly before your appointment. Call us first, before you treat at home, it will save you time and money. 

Using this device is safe, effective and only takes 30 minutes from start to finish. FloSonix methodically dehydrates all lice eggs, leaving them incapable of continuing their life cycle. Anyone can get head lice! The spread of lice has nothing to do with age, personal hygiene, your home environment or ethnicity.

While its most common for young and school aged children to get head lice, adults get head lice too! In fact, it is very common for mom's of children with head lice to also have head lice.

You could definitely try! But that would take hours to achieve and would likely need to be repeated again to ensure everything was removed. Relying on just combing is a tedious task. This also runs the risk of missing a live bug or egg and in a few weeks time could be right back to where you started.

A complimentary cosmetic comb out is just that! We provide the comb out as a courtesy. After the pre-treatment with our solution to kill lice and the FloSonix heat treatment device to dehydrate all nits(eggs), everything is dead. There is no worry for reinfestation at that time. The comb out is not necessary for successful treatment. The comb out is for cosmetic purposes only. We do our best to remove as much as possible so that you can resume life with confidence. 

Each type of lice is species-specific, which is why, for example, the common head lice that infects humans cannot feed off your dog, cat or other household pets. 

No. We do not. We only treat people who have head lice. If you feel you have something other than head lice please contact your primary care doctor to schedule an appointment with them. If you come to our clinic with anything other than head lice we will not treat and we will refer you to your own Doctor.
