OUR CLINIC:

There is no need to pre-treat at home. We take care of everything in our clinic in just one visit. We apply our 100% all natural oil treatment solution first, this kills all the lice. We then wash it out and blow dry your hair. Next, we complete our 30 minute FloSonix heat treatment which dehydrates all the nits, making them non-viable. After treatment we  provide a comb out. You and your children will leave our clinic free of live lice and nits, your hair washed, combed and even braided. Our clinic takes care of everything in that one appointment. hen your family walks out our door, they are ready to go back to work, school or daycare etc. You and your family can get back to living and enjoying your life!

Other clinics, as part of their treatment will provide their heat treatment first, while lice are still alive and in the hair. This runs the risk of live lice being blown around the room during the heat treatment, potentially causing cross contamination. They then apply the oil treatment solution as a last step. You now have to leave their clinic with the oil treatment solution still in your hair and a plastic cap on your head! You then have to travel home like this and will have to wash the oil solution out of every family members hair on your own at your home . This will not allow you to resume your normal everyday activities immediately.

Some other types of offices or clinics only provide nit picking, which is exactly how it sounds, a team member pulling/combing nits from your hair one by one, this runs the risk of missing a nit or more.

We kill ALL live bugs as a first step with our physician formulated, non-toxic treatment solution.
Why is this important? The first step in any head lice treatment must be to kill ALL live bugs.  By killing all live activity, the patient is no longer contagious. This prevents the spread of head lice and cross contamination in the treatment environment.

Other lice treatment providers cut this first step out in order to get clients in and out of their doors faster. However, use of a heated air device applied to a patient with live lice will NOT kill all bugs. That means there is a risk of cross contamination as the bugs can be blown around the room from the heated air device. One study shows an older heat device used at other lice clinics kills only 84% of live bugs. Instead of applying solution first to kill the bugs, other clinics use this as a last step.

Our medical protocol of applying treatment solution first to kill live bugs, followed by a heated air device treatment to dessicate all lice eggs was shown in a clinical study of 281 patients to be > 99% effective.  The protocol also includes the application of treatment solution later at home following the heat treatment in order to prevent reinfestation.

In our clinic, after we complete the oil treatment and the FloSonix heat treatment, all lice and nits are now dead. At this point we do provide a complimentary cosmetic comb out. This process of combing with a nit comb is done to help remove the majority of the now dehydrated and non-viable nits. We call it cosmetic because this portion of the appointment is not needed for the success of treatment.
